Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What type of fish are in the lake?

A: Walleye, norhtern pike, whitefish, perch- starting to have some small mouth bass.

Q2: What type of lures and tackle should I bring?

A: Long answer short- depends on the style of fishing you like to do. Commonly used tackle includes, jigs, flicker shads, hot & tots, spinners. Most common colours used: gold, pink, chartreuse, orange, firetiger.

Q3: What is included in the cabin? What should I bring?

A: Included: bbq, microwave, coffee maker( not a keurig), untensils, pots\pants, dishes, cups, glasses. There is running water (regular flushable toilet, paper is supplied) and a shower.

Please bring the following:
-All personal items (towels, face cloths)
-Dish washing soap and rags
-Bedding( all beds are singles) & pillow
-Food

Our store has the following for sale:

-Gas
-Propane
-Bait: minnows, leeches and worms
-Tackle
-Ice
-Snacks
-Souvenirs

Some docks slips are equipped with hydro to charge trolling motors (when you reserve let us know if you require this service, so we can plan accordingly).

Q4: What other necessities should I bring?

A: Pack for all seasons ( its northern ontario and you never know). Bug repellent, mosquito coils, and a thermacell or any of the above combination- be prepared for flies\mosquitos anytime of the year. Unfortunately citronella candles are not permitted inside our cabins.

Q5: What do boat rentals include?

A: Size of boats- 14 ft with 25 hp electric start
2 swivel seats
Depth finder
Bilge pump

Q6: What are your rates?

A: Daily boat launch and park is $15 and a weekly dockage fee of $60. Seasonal docking is $20 per foot. Boat and motor rentals are $90 per day or $390 per week for a 14′ boat with 25hp motor. Applicable sales taxes are extra.
